My experience with police

Yesterday i got a situation to go to Perambur,chennai with my sister to write our MBA exam..We went on our Maruti Swift.. I am not of a kind of a rash driver, and as my sister is preganant, expecting her baby in another two months i drive in a very normal speed only.. On my way back home i was getting down from the Padi circular bridge towards annanagar which is a 100ft road with just two or three vehicles on road that time.. just a 500ft away from the bridge is was waved by the patrol police to stop my car and i to did even though i can get along without stopping..I parked the car aside the road and went to meet the police telling my sister to stayput in the car itself..

I was told that i exceeded the speed limit.. he showed a meter reading of 61kms/hr and told me that road is having a speed limit of 40kms/hr only (( i think almost all the chennai roads have that limit only and even a motorbike exceeds the limit)), Yeah he is rite i came in 60km/hr speed only.. All on a sudden he told me the fine for overspeeding is 1500rs, but you give me 300rs sir i wont fine you.. I was pretty shocked to her his speech, asking me to bribe him without any hesitation.. When we were speaking lot of vehicles were going thru with much
more speed, they didnt stop those and some when they tried to stop they crossed by without stopping.. I asked and why am i affected for genuinely stopping my car, and i could have also went like them.. Then he started telling me like the fine is more so u give me 300 and go sir.. I felt like a beggar standing infront of me dressed up in uniform with two of his allies and asking me for money.. I told i amnt supposed to give money, and then he started begging reducing the money.. He just told me i dont want to hurt you sir, so you give 150rs and leave.. I got irritated and not more in a mind to stand infront of him and as i cant make my sister too wait there in her situation i gave him 100rs and left the situation without seeing his face even.. As i turned to leave he told me sorry to bother you sir.. The words of a happy beggar i felt..I got back to car and was going on speaking to sister all our way back about this situation only...

Even if i would have dropped the money on the road and told him to pick he would have done that too..How will you feel to respect a policeman i you had such an experience... If he would have fined me telling that i outbid the law means i would have respected him.. But he is standing there in uniform with the govt vehicle and those instruments to beg publicly.. Rotten eggs..!

In our country

All bcoz of these rotten eggs...
